The Business Ownership Initiative of Indiana helps people create and develop their own very small businesses. BOI's bottom line is to get people into businesses that generate income to support them and their families. We believe business ownership should be available to anyone with a viable idea and the motivation to make it happen.

BOI's story is best illustrated by the stories of its clients. They come from all walks of life and with various backgrounds. Some support themselves with low–paying jobs while working their own business on the side to supplement their income. Others have been laid off from good paying jobs and are focused on taking control of their fate. Clients may be immigrants who come from a long history of business ownership but are unfamiliar with the practices of their new country. $50 pays for a workshop to help a client identify a viable business idea
$75 allows us to work with a client to address barriers in their lives that might interfere with starting a business
$100 pays for three counseling sessions to help a client write a business plan
$250 pays for a workshop series to help a client successfully launch their business
